I welcome commissions from both personal and corporate customers. From personalised gift items, to original paintings, to a series of works for a book project. Commissioning a piece of work as an individual can be a little daunting if you haven't done it before and aren't sure what is involved. So here's a brief guide:
1. Try to be as clear as possible about what it is you want, whilst there are realistic elements to my work I don't do photographic reproductions. I am however happy to use them as part of my research/source material, so if there's a tree you love at the bottom of your garden and you'd like to have Shakespeare's Bottom and Titania sitting underneath it, send me a few photo's and I'll be happy to oblige!
2. Overall cost will depend on size, complexity and time taken up with research, so bear this in mind. I do provide roughs to individual customers free of charge and alterations at the rough stage are also free. I'm very aware that for some the rough stage is where you realise what it is you don't want and thus get a clearer idea of what you do want!
3. how long will it take? bit of a piece of string question...
I will do my best to work to a deadline if you have one but will be honest about the fact that even if I don't have other work ahead of yours, there's no way of being sure exactly how long many pieces will take. suffice it to say you should be thinking about Christmas in August and Birthdays a good few months in advance...
